A Fresh Start for the New Year

The holidays can be a busy and often hectic time. Between spending time with family, cooking up a storm, and hosting guests, keeping your home in order can easily slip through the cracks. Are you ready to start the new year on the right foot feeling refreshed? Start by organizing your home.

Out With The Old

The end of the year is a great time to clear out and donate old belongings. Look through your closet and kitchen and get rid of items that haven’t been used in the past year. Chances are, if you haven’t used something in the past 12 months, you’ll get along just fine without it.

All of your belongings should have their own designated space. If there are items in your home that have been floating around, find a spot for them to stay. Feeling like you just don’t have enough room? Stackable storage bins can be a great tool for keeping things organized when you’re low on space.

Label It

Adding clear labels to your things can help to avoid returning back to the chaos and keeping everyone in your household on the same page. This can be super helpful in your pantry. Try designating one bin for snacks, another for baking goods, one for spices, etc. This also helps you to keep things organized going forward as you’ll always know where to place new things.

Clean Up Time

Designate 30 minutes each week to cleaning up and organizing. Breaking it down and tackling it in small chunks can make the process go by more efficiently. Not only will this make your clean home last longer, but it may just make you happier!
